Rules:

  • Everytime we do planning for the documentary we document it on the blog – This rule is to help insure that we are working on the assessment on every lesson as well know what everyone is doing when they work on the assessment.
  • Ask for approval by group members before making changes to the site design or other features – This rule is to make sure that no one person has all the power to make a change in the website that everyone is happy with the website
  • Keep tabs on other groups to make sure we aren’t falling behind – We need to make sure we refer to other groups because we need to compare the quality of our answers and how much they have done.
  • Refer to the marking criteria – This is a very important rule to make sure that we cover all the required parts to get the most marks out of our assessment. This also makes sure we don’t do too much extra work than there needs to be.

In this lesson, the group has made progress on the website.

We have added new links between pages (Emerging technologies, Present technologies, Past Technologies and Technology through time). We learnt how to add a menu on the page, this menu will lead users into different branches of the website.

During this lesson, we also learnt how properly add pages, instead of constantly adding blog posts.

Design Brief

In groups of three (3) you are to create an episode for the documentary series Technology Through Time using Imovie, or other software by
negotiation. This documentary must include information on one past, one current and one emerging technology in ONE chosen industry.
Each member of your group will be allocated one of the following types of technologies:

• A past technology can be considered as something which was used in the past, but is no longer in use in the community.
• A current technology can be considered as something which is in widespread use in today’s society.
• An emerging technology can be considered as something that is currently being developed, or will be developed within
the next five to ten years.

You will be marked individually on the content of your video (i.e. the content of your chosen technology). You will also receive a group mark.
This will relate to your documentary episode as well as the documentation of your group work.

Channel 10 is creating a new and exciting series named Technology Through Time to showcase past, current and emerging technologies. Each
episode will focus on three different technologies (one past, one current and one emerging) from a specific industry. Eg Media,
Communications, Travel, Banking etc

June 7 2019 (Term 2 Week 6 – Friday)

During this lesson, we have begun developing our website by adding new images that correlate with the topic of the website. We have confirmed the rules and roles. We have an initial idea of what technology we will be doing for the documentary for all 3 group members. At the present moment, we are planning to incorporate the ‘ Old 3D technology’, ‘New 3D technology’, Video Games, VR, ‘Vivid Sydney’ and the emerging feature of running on a treadmill, which further immerses the user.
